Today promises to be a good day.

Just before I hit the sack at 4am, I had a quick chat with Leongy, whom I haven't spoken to/seen in a million years. We only briefly updated each other on the sorry state of our lives, but it was a very heartwarming affair. I would think that the one up-side of my nocturnal sleeping pattern is that I manage to catch those friends who have scattered themselves across the globe on MSN more often. Throughout our 25-minutes-long conversation, I kept getting all these flashbacks from the times spent together in secondary school and junior college. And it was sobering to think: Here we are, after all these years, half a globe away from each other, one eight hours ahead of the other, sitting in our respective dorms, chatting away on our laptops. Maybe I'm being melodramatic, but it brought a warm fuzzy feeling to my gut on this cold (by cold, I mean about 26 degrees) Thursday morning. My most effectively bilingual friend ever, you are missed.

And I woke up to Cassandra's SMS which immediately made me smile, a rarity for me in the morning. It's always nice to know that you're remembered and loved.

Even the weather, for once, is not annoying the hell out of me.

So, yes. Today's going to be a good day.
